Race

Tuesday, April 05, 2011

I have a 4 mile run this coming Saturday! For awhile I was really nervous about it, and subconsciously I must still be, because I've had dreams the past two nights that I was late for it, was the last to finish, etc. Honestly, I may very well be the last to finish. I am doing the run for my uncle and his Fire Station, but honestly I'm not ready for it (as far as my run time goes) because I have been doing the Shred and some Tae Bo for exercise. I jogged 4 miles in the neighborhood with my sister last week, and my time was right around 48 minutes..so I'm still at a 12 minute mile. I'm hoping all the adrenaline from the race will kick in when I'm there. I know my time for my first 5k was way better than I expected it to be because I hardly walked.

I know it's just for a good cause, and it's all for fun anyway. I guess I'm a little intimidated, because I'm sure my uncle has a great run time. I do not run though. I jog. Big difference!! Oooh well. I'll have to let you all know how it goes :)

I'm sure you'll do great!! Sounds you're a running veteran already! Good luck to you!

And thanks for the comment on my blog.

Hope you don't mind the add - it's great to have support from other runners like you!

Just have FUN! Don't worry about how fast your time is. Anyway, you've had ankle, hip, (any other injuries?) that have prevented you from staying in the running shape you were before. I hope you have a good time!

And, OH MY-8 pounds?! emoticon You ROCK!
