We finally got some rain in Maryland! Thank goodness. It had been almost 2 weeks in my area without rain. It also looks like the weather is going to be just a shade cooler for the next few days thankfully.
I started doing Turbofire this week. I felt like I wasn't getting enough cardio in with Chalean Extreme so I'm making up a mix of the two. With Chalean she has you mix 3 days of lifting with 2 days of her cardio. I plan on doing 3 days of lifting with 3 days of Turbofire in-between. On the lifting days I would still like to get in a little cardio but nothing too intense...just a bit of time on the bike or outdoor time...whatever I get into that day.
At some point I may decide to stack them on top of each other but the only way I can see that is if its one of her shorter cardio classes. Her programs are designed to be done intensely so I can't see how, if I really give it my all, I would have enough push for both in one day. For example if I lifted heavy I don't think I would have enough muscle juice to get through intense cardio and plyometrics. On the other hand its the same way with cardio. If I give that my all I would think I would be just wore out to the extent I couldn't give lifting my all.
So anyhow this morning I did HIIT 15 and it was a lot of fun. I'm not really fast enough to keep up with her 100% on beat but I think I did pretty darned good. Once you let go of the notion that you can't do something its amazing to see what you can do. I used to think I wasn't much on jumping but I got some good air this morning on those jump squats. I think mixing Turbofire in will be the jolt I need to keep my workout fresh.
