Man. I am so happy that this holiday is on a weekday and not a weekend!!

Saturday as I suspect was mentally tough for me, and I didn't do as well as I wanted to. One of my besties ended up changing plans from when I was supposed to meet her at her house, to meeting her at a resturant. Red Lobster no less. I did stay way from the cheddar bay biscuts all together, choose water, split half of my meal with one of my other friends.. but it still wasn't great.

And of course, when we went to the show.. I did end up having more than a beer. I was pretty disappointed with myself the next day, and though I didn't go over my points at all.. I didn't really exercise unless you count walking around at the zoo for 2 hours.

That means being back on the ball mad style today. I did my second summer run outdoors on advice from a sparker, and it was nice! I've been staggering these runs since I am pretty prone to heatstroke and I want to make sure I take it easy. First mile was 10 minutes, and the second was 13 minutes. This is acceptable to me since these runs means A LOT of hills, and I was feeling the heat on the last stretch. The main plan now is to do level 2 yoga before fireworks or something close.

I won't deny that I am a bit disappointed in myself for not handling it better, but hey. I could have handled it a lot worse! Time to move on to the things that I can control, today, which is what I am putting in my mouth and exercise.

So not only can I have a good time celebrating the independance of America, but my own from the person I used to be.
