How a year changes things...

I feel like things are going well for me. I went back to this time last year in my personal journal and I was depressed. This year I feel very good about things. Would I feel better if I had lost a little more weight? Sure. Just the fact that I'm not depressed is a very good thing.
When I look back I can think of a few things to attribute to the change. The biggest is that I did Chalene Johnson's 30 day push. Its free and it starts over Dec. 1st (30daypush.com). Its helped me learn to set goals and put tasks in place to actually accomplish those goals. I'm not kidding in the fact that ever since I started doing that in April its really helped change things for me. Now I'm doing her online Push book and its helping even more.
I got my wisdom teeth out in April. Something that I had dreaded for YEARS. I was scared senseless to have it done but knew it needed to be done. Come to find out I was scared for nothing. I had an excellent dentist and that weight of worry was off my shoulders.
I'm doing a bit better financially. I attribute that the goals I set in the 30 day push and my dear husband being such a hard working and getting a promotion. I understand that getting promoted isn't in the cards for everyone but even before the promotion (which is very recent actually) 30 day push helped me to look at our situation and help me think and break down how I can make our situation better.
Maybe its just because I know I'm working to better myself that has helped. Sure there are times I'll go out to the store in my t-shirt, jeans, and nothing special but I will say I make an effort to look better more often. There are times I go to the store and I do go through the trouble to put on a few extra pieces of jewelry, wear my nicer shoes. Those little things do make me feel better.
This may sound even a tad silly but I really like my hair right now. Its due a cut but John Frieda Go Blonder Spray has helped me achieve a color I've always wanted. Its a natural beachy brown/blonde that I now only pay $9 for instead of $90 to get highlights.
About a year ago I discovered thekrazycouponlady.com. I may not be quite as amazing as those women on Extreme couponing but its definitely my new hobby and its nice to have a small stockpile in my home to help me save.
I may not have my anxiety issues licked but the way I feel now and the way I feel a year ago are like night and day. That is a very good thing indeed!
I took my Kohl's cash today and got myself a Birthmas present. My birthday is a few days before Christmas LOL. I got some new obnoxiously pink Nike running shoes! Nothing like getting a present to promote health
