45 Days of Relight.
Friday, December 02, 2011
Back in the days when I was in the workforce (before becoming a full time domestic engineer) I was an OJT for a company everyone would recognize if I said the name. An OJT is an On the Job Trainer.
We gave all new employees 90 days to get it or get out. Bottom line.
On my 45th day of my Spark Relight I got to thinking about those days as an OJT and what I would say to encourage my "Newbie" on their 45th day. It's what I say to myself today.....
"You've come further then you thought possible on your first day. 45 days in means that in 45 more days you are expected to handle yourself with confidence and professionalism and to handle all problems/concerns/issues immediately exceeding expectations of excellence in your performance. You are to simply be the best. Your training reflects me and who I am as a trainer. So if you ever need to really understand something, before you make a mistake you should talk with me, I'll be your voice of reason through the storms. I'm successful, therefore you also will be successful. I believe in you."
So now I'm looking at taking my own advise as a trainer and adviser to my fitness goals.
I've come a long way, but I have a long way to go just to get to feeling like I finally understand what I'm supposed to do.
When I finally get there, then the hard work really begins. I have to do and keep my job.
Day 45 for me is about reflecting and looking forward. I figured out that I don't have it all figured out and that that's okay. I'm still learning. I'm still a newbie. I will be successful because I believe in me.
