I just wanted to pop in and give a quick update.
Things have been well this week. Nothing much exciting going on.
I've been tracking food pretty well this week. I started using an app on my phone called NOOM. Its an interesting little app that integrates fitness calorie burn keeping (like runkeeper) with nutrition.
The nutrition side I'm really liking. You can take a pic of your meals and it even reminds you to eat every 3 hours. The other thing I like (for now) is that their style of tracking food is much faster. Foods are categorized into green/yellow/red. Those categories break down into portion sizes and estimated calorie counts. At the end of the day it grades you 1-5 stars based on staying in calorie range and ideal green/yellow/red ranges.
I realize this is not perfect in the long run but for me...just getting started and wanting to maintain consistency with tracking this is good. Much faster than other systems out there. Eventually I'll have to be more precise and exact with food tracking but for now some tracking is better than none!
