Blasted Cheesy Potatoes!!

After Christmas, I had 3/4 of a pan of cheesy potato casserole left over from 2 dinners (it kept going to a smaller pan.) But apparently I made enough for an army, and with all the other good stuff, they just didn't get eaten. I decided we would have them with dinner last night. I had done very well all day, eating healthy, and had even pre-tracked my dinner. I had 1 serving of the cheesy potatoes and a thin slice of apple pie tracked and was still under my 500 calorie deficit range.

My husband came home from work and went out to the gym to work out. I ate my dinner and was fully satisfied. When he came in, he got his dinner and I noticed that he didn't take any potatoes on his plate. I asked him, and he said, "No, I don't want any." So what do I do? Do I go throw out the uneaten potatoes? Do I put them back in the refigerator? NO!!!!!! I eat them!!!!! Then, even though I feel like I might burst open, I go get the pie I had planned for dessert and eat that too!!! I don't even stop there, I continue to snack on pita chips while watching TV. I felt sick when I went to bed and was still bloated this morning. The scale shows a 2 lb gain. Gross. I am my worst enemy.

I threw out the rest of the potatoes. Oatmeal for breakfast, tuna for lunch and chicken planned for dinner. Every day is a new day.

    You really didn't do that bad Carin. I wouldn't have even thrown the rest of the potatoes away the next day. I'm sure I would have finished them off. It really is tough around the holiday season. There are so many people who are so nice and share their extra holiday food. I just wish that they would realize that their sharing isn't always what other people need. For example, I went into work today and in the kitchen was a huge plate of brownies with caramel filling. Unfortunately I couldn't resist and had a few pieces. I came back a few more times and had some more each time. Even though it was delicious and I enjoyed eating it, I really wish that they weren't brought in and shared.
