Plans for 2012....

Hope everyone enjoyed their New Year plans! My family went to my in-laws for a great dinner cooked by my husband's cousin and later on we went to a party hosted by good friends of ours. It was a nice evening.
As with most everyone I've been reflecting as for what I want out of this year. I don't do resolutions. I don't believe in setting a bunch of goals that I'm not currently working towards and then going all out on them only to quit in March. I do believe you have to have a plan set in place and I do believe that doing the 30daypush.com plan back in April really helped me learn skills to work towards my goals.
Despite not doing resolutions that doesn't mean I'm not a goal setter..
Chalene Johnson even has her book "Push" out now and while I haven't had the time to really delve into it I'm already going to recommend it because I love everything she does.
In regards to goals I have for myself and my weight this year.... I've told myself that if I don't see the scale move in some proper direction by June I'm planning on looking into a nutritionist or a personal trainer. I figure by June I should know if I feel like I'm on the right track if I really do give it a good shot at changing my habits. I know trainers can be expensive and I have no clue about a nutritionist. I don't expect to have reached my big goals by then but if I can't get the scale to move in 6 months then I'm obviously not doing something right. Money tends to motivate me so if I discover that these two helpers are going to really cost a lot it could be enough motivation for me to stick to something of my own accord.
I tend to go back and forth on tracking my calories properly - issue 1. I also tend to not be as active as I should be - issue 2. I got a fitbit for Christmas from my husband and its really shown me just how inactive I am. Granted I've been sick the last few days but still...
So those are my first active steps towards working towards my goal... More activity. Even with this cold I'm going to focus on my daily steps going higher every day until I can focus on exercise again. Use Noom to track my calories and keep myself accountable.
