It was a pretty good weekend for me. Despite the time change it was a really productive day yesterday.
It was really pretty weather so I had my husband check the pruning job I did on the fruit trees last week. We also tilled our garden. I'm not ready to plant for a while yet. I need to get some amendmend for the soil and give it another tilling. I have a few weeks till I will plant my spring plants but its good to start prepping now.
Along with Livefit I'm also using my fitbit to set goals for steps each day. I didn't realize how potentially inactive I can be until I started wearing it. 2 weeks ago I set a goal of making sure I get at least 5000 steps a day. Last week I did 6000 and this week will be 7000 steps a day. I'm thinking with making a goal that is this basic, along with livefit, will help me reach my goals.
Speaking of Livefit.. I'm definately feeling stronger. This weekend I did my 2nd round of pushup/pull up training (not on the same day). Out of 30 pushups total I was able to do 7 on my toes. I did 3 sets and could do 3 on my toes for the first set and 2 for each of the 2nd and 3rd sets. Definately an improvement from where I was when I started and I think that is really neat to see. On pull ups training I did 1 set of 30 lbs and then 2 sets at 40 lbs for lat pulldowns. Next time I think I can move onto only lifting 40 lbs for all 3 sets. Its hard but doable which is what I'm looking for.
I really like focusing on strength training. I know next week Livefit has the addition of cardio and I'm cool with that also. I know its important and I do like cardio. I'm hoping to get back to jogging like I was. I kinda miss that but I decided with Livefit to focus on one thing at a time and not to pressure myself for anything other than that.
I feel like I'm in a good place!
