WARNING: Gross kitty business...

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

VERY busy day... as usual! LOL

Pain levels pretty much through the roof today... probably had something to do with the weather.

I had that meeting with the dietician... we spent the first minute or two talking about it--a sudden unexpected SNOW flurry-- and then we got down to business (I'll clue you in when my mind is a bit clearer...) about an hour into our meeting my blood sugar did a nosedive in her office. I had to eat my 2nd breakfast before I could drive home, so my menu plan went right out the window (BAD timing! LOL)... then I ran a few errands, and went home, only to find...

I'd laid an old sweatshirt across the back of my couch, to wear for housework and workout etc when I got home... and my cat had puked on it. emoticon Nothing like cleaning up a hairball to destroy my appetite for lunch. I don't even remember what I ate... and I'm not looking it up! LOL

Then I did part of my morning routine that I'd missed because of the appointment, and needed to lay down for a quick rest... Little guy comes up beside me... and pukes on me. GROSS! emoticon Never sat up so fast in my LIFE!... He got my sleeve, the pillow case, one edge of the pillow, and a corner of the bed itself... when I took the things to the bathroom to rinse them out, I saw in the mirror there was some in my hair.. UGH! I never did get my rest... because when I sat up, he took off. From one end of the house to the other. Leaving a trail. So when I had myself and the bed more or less taken care of (I still need to put clean sheets on...) I had that to clean up as well. By the time I was done, it was time to cook dinner and get through as much of the rest of my routine as I could. No "workout" today--just a lot of WORK! lol

I couldn't figure out why, even with all that, I am so crazy tired, and I just realized... I didn't have any vitamin D today. I ran out, and I'm still waiting for prescriptions to be cleared by the insurance so I didn't get to the pharmacy as planned. I always thought your body stored enough to last a LITTLE while... sheesh!

So, in consequence, it's at least an hour before my usual bedtime, and I don't care. Sheets or no sheets, I'M GOING TO BED! LOL

And I'm taking that poor little cat with me--but he better not puke this time! LOL

Be well...

With 8 cats kitty puke is a way of life for me!! There is no place left untouched by those hariballs. Of course puking always occurs during my meal time!!!! It's all part of having animals, but it does make a little extra work!! Gotta love 'em.

    Kathy,
I hope that you get a good rest, and wake up feeling refreshed and stronger. Weather has quite an effect on how we feel. I almost feel guilty that our weather is so gorgeous today. Completely out of the norm for the East Coast in early March. I even got outside for another walk today. It felt so wonderful.
Kitty puke is another story. When I still lived at home with my parents, we had a huge orange female cat with very long hair named Fluffy. Needless to say, all of that hair went somewhere, and no matter how often I brushed her, she puked regularly. The best time was at Christmas. We used to put the old fashioned tinsel on the tree, and Fluffy thought that was special sparkly food. So when she puked, it was very glittery. Once, she got so frisky that when we came downstairs on Christmas morning, she had pulled the entire tree into another room. She then proceeded to play ping pong with the glass ornaments. That was one Christmas morning I'll never forget. But all in all, she was a great friend.
Forgive kitty puke and give your buddy a scratch behind the ears. Hope your day improves.

    Dear Kath......

What a day!!!! Don't think for a minute you didn't get your exercise in === you did ----- and then some!!

Poor you. Poor Kitty. Did he eventually stop throwing up? Is he OK?

I am always amazed at how well you know your body. You always seem to know what is missing, or what is wrong or what is out of balance. That's so admirable. I'm in the dark, usually. I never know if I am deficient in one vitamin or another,or if a symptom is caused by an imbalance...... I'm clueless. I guess that's because I've never gotten a real diagnosis.....

I hope things have calmed down for you, hon. What is next?
As always - you're in my thoughts and my heart.

    Luv. Libby emoticon
