Today I go to a 4 day overnight conference for work. Living in NJ and working for government, 99% of the time overnight conferences are in Atlantic City, as is this one. Daily continental breakfast will be carb laden with no proteins available. Lunches will not be any better. Dinner is on our own, but inexpensive choices mean trouble ordering healthy meals. Not to mention the wine and snacks that will flow after hours at special receptions and hospitality suites.
Dry roasted almonds and apples will be snacks. Hoping for several long walks down the boardwalk for exercise, stress relief and weight control. There is nothing in the world like hearing the ocean and sea gulls. The scenery is incredible to look at and the boardwalk - well, good way to describe it is interesting. Lots of shops, casinos, honky-tonk and of course the famous Atlantic City taffy. More fun is the people watching. One can see everything on the Atlantic City boards.
I'm armed with an eating and exercise plan. Will do my best to stick with it. My Easter day episode of overwhelmingly craving those darn desserts has knocked my confidence a bit. Will check in with Spark daily which will help.
Wishing you all a beautiful day.
