Weekly Blog and Water

Wednesday, May 02, 2012

I have been a member of Spark people since Nov. 2010 but didn't really get involved until Jan 2011. I am stating this because it has been 1 year and 4mo of logging and blogging.
In the "BIG" scheme of things I have been consistent but when you break it down weekly or daily. Some days and weeks have been good and some not so good. Bottom line!! I am still here and still trying to get fit and lead a better life. For the most part I am aware DAILY of my accomplishments or my failures so that in itself is a good thing.
Being AWARE of what one eats and what one does is a good step towards success. I will continue to be AWARE and make healthy choices and always always move... Whether it's a short walk on the greenbelt or water aerobics I MUST keep moving. Dance to the laundry room. Lunge with that vacuum cleaner while vaccuuming the floors. Work those obliques and those thighs... Well, at least I do that.:) I always dance through my house.(my dogs think I'm crazy but they don't complain) They love Old Skool and the 70's too :) Just keep moving Sparkies. We can do this.. emoticon

I totally agree with you on every point. Keeping ourselves moving is so very important. Everytime I sit down to relax, I am so aware of how long I'm sitting & that I now need to get up and move again. The nicer & warmer weather makes a big difference for sure. I'm doing more yard work & house work with the doors open that I could for a long time.
Of course I'm dancing around the whole time. Or jogging in place while watching tv. I have been starting to let treats sneak back in my diet & the weight has been flectuating a couple of lbs. or so. I'm gonna need to get a handle on & watch the food intake more closely. I need to be heading downhill more with the weight off.
You take care! I think you're doing a great job!!

January 2011 until now is about 16 months. Your WeightTicker shows that you have lost 74 lbs in that period of time, an average of 4.6 lbs per month. A one-two lb weight loss per week is a good range to aim for, and, you are right there. You have become aware of your food choices and your decisions to "move" your body. You're doing great.

When you reach your goal, you'll be ready to, slowly, transition into a new goal of maintaining your new weight by, maybe letting up a little bit on a few things, but, mostly, continuing to live your new lifestyle the same way that you are doing it now.

You have set a path for yourself, and you are following that path. Good job!
