Pre-race rest day

Sunday, May 06, 2012

Tomorrow is my first race this year, not doing many this year and can you believe that the first two are in the same week! 10K tomorrow then 5K next Sunday. After that nothing planned until Sept. I'm feeling slightly nervous, I haven't done 10k for a while, most of my runs are between 6 and 8K. Hopefully adrenalin can carry me for 2 more! The weather forecast looks ok, cool but dry with rain after lunch. We start at 10.30 so I hope that is accurate.
Just having a rest day today. We drove to the coast this morning, about 10 miles, to walk the dog. It was great to see sunshine after so many cold, miserable days lately. DH took some great photos at the Marina but I can't upload them on my iPad!

Good luck for tomorrow. You can do this hope the rain stays away. Look forward to hearing how you get on. Not much recovery time for you hope you have a few days of work to recover.

Super good luck heading your way! I sure know that nervousness. My first race of the year is next Saturday and it is traditionally the hardest even though it is the shortests (5 miles). BUT, you and I will do well because we can push when we need to. Remember, you are capable of great things! Can't wait to read the report!
