1/2 marathon - YIKES

This morning I wogged 5 miles in under an hour again! (well ok, 59:15 but that's still under an hour!) To me that is SUCCESS! I'm planning on doing a half marathon on July 8. My original goal was to do it in under 3 hours. But I was getting ambitious and said ok, 2:45 or 2:30. I know I can't keep that pace up for 13 miles, so I am back to my original goal of under 3 hours.
I hope it's not a hot day! (or raining, or snowing -- I am a fair weather wogger)

    You can do it friend!!! If it's your first 1/2 marathon, finishing it would be a good goal, and if you succeed in making it under your goal as well, that's even more awesome! But a finish is success! I hope you have a great time, and keep us posted!!! We expect pix! :-)

    If this is your first half marathon make sure your goal is to finish with a smile on your face and in an upright position. You have many HM's in your future so just run this one at a comfortable pace and above all...HAVE FUN!!!

    Please listen to your body and be careful! If this is your first ( I couldn't find a Half record on your SparkPage) then you know the goal is to finish and get a learning experience from it.

    3 hours is a good goal and I know you will do it. You'll judge as you get deeper into the half. I'm staying true to Jeff Galloway on my next HM.

    Is this going to be your first half marathon? July 8th is my birthday! I will be thinking about you. I'll be at a gathering of English Shepherd dogs and their owners whom I've become close to because of my rescue work and ultimate adoption of Piper into our lives.

    I'm so excited for you! And yes, today was SUCCESS. In under an hour could be 59:59 and you beat even that.
