So tired this last week...

Friday, June 22, 2012

It's been some time since I posted a blog. I have tried, but was so tired I couldn't string words together. I had so much fun on my anniversary, but we stayed up late and my body woke me at my usual time. For someone struggling with insomnia and etc. this is a bad thing. I have been catching myself eating to stay awake. So, I have been at the upper end or over my calories several times. This is why I was so surprised to be down a pound this week. Well, I guess it just means that what I am doing, and all the good choices I do make, do make a difference. Sometimes, you wonder when you hit a plateau.

This Thursday, June 28th, my daughter has surgery. So, eating at the low end of my calorie range and exercising as much as I can would be very helpful. Not sure, how I am going to manage eating at the hospital. I will take that one step at a time. I do have the SP app on my phone, so that should help.

I know my focus will be on my daughter. But, my new healthy lifestyle needs to be part of each and every day. If, it is a lifestyle and not a diet, there is no quitting, it should just be how I live. I have to remember, that I have more control than I can sometimes imagine.

I have been thinking about the upcoming surgery for your daughter andwondering how you will fare through it. Sometimes it s really hard to stay on track through the stressof it because there aare not always the good choices around when you want to eat.

I will be saying prayers for a fst recovering for your daughter and for strength of family love to help you all get through this times.

A pound is a pound and everyone is great to lose!! You are right this is a lifestyle change and we do have to look at it that way, hard to remember sometimes. I found that I get so wrapped up in staying in the middle of my weight range that I think my body is in a rut. When I go to the top end of the range or even over, I lose weight when I've been on a plateau or just not losing very fast. . .go figure. So I think going over once it awhile is not a bad thing, but probably a good thing in that it seems to confuse the body and we lose weight! I'm sure you've noticed this too.

I hope the surgery goes very well for your daughter, I will add your family to my prayers.
