Slow Wog

Saturday, July 21, 2012

After 2 days of driving and 2 days of working, I haven't wogged since Monday. Wow, I amazed that after only 5 days I lost a lot of what I worked toward. I want to do a 10K on Aug. 4th, I did get in 4 miles, but it was a slow 4 miles. I'm working all week next week, I just don't get up and get out so early. I would have to get out and get back to get a shower and be at work at 7:30. I know some of you do that, but, I don't know.

I'm lucky that I work 7 minutes from home, and don't have to be in til 8! That's the only way I can fit in a morning work out, and it's usually a short one! Good luck fitting in your training time, I hope you find something that works for you. emoticon

Debby, are you doing interval training? You know I swear by that now. You must be if it's a wog. You'll be fine.

Just remember it's not an Olympic Trial and a slow wog is better than no wog!

I hope you at least keep some of what you've gained even if you're not able to meet your next goal. Is it possible to set a goal just a little farther out?
    Keep woggin' :)

I have tried to get my exercise done early in the morning before I leave for work. It just hasn't worked for me though. I leave the house at 7:20 a.m. Exercising in the evening takes a lot of willpower but it is what I have to do and works for me. We all need to find what works. I have an advantage though in that I can exercise inside. Your wogging is all outside and our weather is not helping!

I hope you find a fix that works. I agree - when you go several days without it then noticiable decline appears. At least for me.

Good luck! I know you will find a solution.

You can do it, Debby. Set your mind and keep the eye on your goal. If you go to bed earlier, it will be easier to get up earlier. Believe in you ... I do!!!
