Feeling like a lump

Tuesday, October 09, 2012

It's been another couple of months since I got my bike and my Pace Gloves. Which should have been a couple of months of getting in some regular exercise and healthy eating.

Sadly, I gave in to the usual: work overload.

Which means I sit here two months later without much to show for it. I feel healthier because I *have* been eating much better. But my exercise has been close to zero except for the few times (maybe once a week? Sometimes less) that I rode the bike to work or walked at least part of the way to or from work.

I know it's essential that I *choose* to make the time to get in a work out.

And yet, it's been *me* choosing to just "get to work NOW" every single day ...

Would a half hour extra delay in the morning have killed my work output if I spent that time getting in a good intense workout? No. But yet, my brain, in stupid-mode, decided it would, that I could NOT spare a half hour to work out even just 3 times a week.

Bad choices.

But they're done.

Now I have another couple of months in this year - I still have a resting heart rate of 60 beats per minute - now I want to get it closer to 55 by December 31st. Think I can do it? Sure, but only if I actually make the effort to get some exercise between now and then!

Wish me luck!

Wow you have a low heart rate! Mine is not that low, but I think it has something to do with my low blood pressure...
Have you thought about signing up for some kind of event to give yourself more of a reason to spare the time? That's what I have to do lol

Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog! I was just on your page a couple days ago wondering how you were doing! :)
Plus, you already know that working out makes everything else less stressful :)
Well, that funny white snow will be showing up soon if it hasn't already! Enjoy that winter fun! Is it time for some ice skating soon?
