I need to get back to the habit of tracking all my food every day.
It worked when I first joined Spark. IT WILL WORK AGAIN! LOL!

I have stopped doing it properly since Christmas. Although I was writing it down on paper.
I had my rest from it and listened to my body and ate when I was hungry.
Now I am going to track my food every day. Unless I am at my dear daughter's when I will have to guesstimate! LOL! She does not like me counting my calories! emoticon

It was a lovely day today. Warm and sunny, not like yesterday! So I did lots of gardening and had a great time. I tackled the big pond and raked out loads of weed and left it so any newts or frogs could get out. I found a dead frog on top the pond which was upsetting.

I started on the small top pond, but need to do more tomorrow. I was very careful not to touch the frog spawn.

    Your Daughter should be proud you are trying to watch your calories. Stick to your guns Ellen. Glad your were able to work outside again . It has been nice here, but they say rain is on the way.

    I like a food journal it lets me see what is most effective.Enjoy the garden ,sorry about the froggie !

    ELLEN DH and I love banans foster. We used to cook them in the oven, now we use the microwave. I take a small 6 inch banana and split it down the middle. then cut across to fit n my small plates. I place 4 chocolate chips Dark chocolate on each piece for Fred and 2 on each piece for me. Then I microwave then for 1 minute at 40% power. It is an amazing desert and very popular when we have guests.
    These days we buy a dozen bananas a week. I cook with them so I do not add sucrose only banana. I am adapting recipes to remove refined sugar out of my life I can get enough fructose from Freggies that is for sure. I am back to my cooking experiments.     Sounds like me!! Tracking is so important and it does help keep you in line. You can do it!!! We all can.

    Happy Tracking! It is the ONLY way I can stay true to myself and even on those days when I'm not "on track" I can see what I'm doing! emoticon emoticon

    True tracking is mandatory to keep you on track. I think we've all found that out. Also I am sure that every single Sparkie who does track, also guesstimates at times as well. Unless they are hermits and eat on their own and weigh every single bit that goes into their mouths.
    We have to be realistic about these things and I think we all agree that tracking takes an awful lot of time that an awful lot of people just don't have to spare. If they have spare time, it's probably more productive to be exercising than tracking food anyway. Lol, that's just my twopence worth, but if you can manage both tracking and exercise in your day, go for it BIG TIME!!

    Glad you had a lovely sunny day. We've had the hottest summer on record here in Tasmania and it hasn't stopped as 30 celcius today and going to be hotter tomorrow.

    I'm like you, going off and on re tracking my food, but it counts for a lot! Glad to hear you were able to get out in the garden! But sorry about that dead frog.

    I love to garden and can't wait until spring! Sorry to hear about the frog that croaked :P Heehe. Way to go on picking back up your food journal! That is one thing that is very effective and I too need to start writing one of my own. emoticon
