Yesterday was a banner day.
My mother-in-law, one of my brother in laws and husband both did their first official 5K. I took them on the Color Run!
Mom is 82 years young and has been in a wheelchair for over 20 years. It slows her down only when she allows it. She braved the cold yesterday to play in the colors and go for 5K.
Today we're all tired but happy. The only part of me that hurts is my right wrist (the steering wrist for the wheelchair) but we're all still smiling.
I'll post a photo once we de-color the phones and can get the pictures on-line. I've got to say, the memories will be good for all of us for a long, long time.
The other good news is this has revitalized my drive and brought my husband around to the idea of exercise. He LIKED the feeling after the walk. Now he's agreed to workout because the endorphin rush feels good!
No, I wouldn't have had ulterior motives entering my husband in the walk. . .Who me?
