Sometimes it helps to be reminded.

First of all, I want to thank all of you that have been posting on my page, and on my teams encouraging me. I don't know how I earned the priveledge of having this support, but it is only with this network that any of us are going to succeed.

This last month has actually been a miracle. Despite the fact that I have been unable until this week to do any exercise, I have managed to maintain my weight at my pre-injury level. Today I slipped a bit, but I've also started to up my exercise level, so maybe my calorie balance is off a bit. I'll get over to the food and exercise journals and work that out.

I look back and realize how much work and struggle this has been. How many victories there have been, and how many seeming failures there have been. The biggest things I've learned are:

1. No one can do this alone. We have to lean on each other and depend on each other for the support and cheerleading we need.

2. The only failure is to quit when the going gets tough. Each time I fall I get stronger for getting up and not letting the guilt of my "failure" get to me.

3. The end will happen at its own pace. I will work the program, and retain my faith in it. It's gotten me this far, and I will succeed.

4. The strength I am learning from all this affects not only my weight, but my outside life, too.

So, come with me on this life journey. I will be your role model if you will be mine. What, you haven't been doing this that long, haven't lost as much as me? Well, you have experiences and skills and encouragement that I need.
