When it comes to tracking I am the queen of forgetfulness. I miss a lot of things and guiltily think of them later. I have always resisted tracking but when I finally (kicking and screaming) realized its value I began to work harder on trying to track consistently.
Unfortunately somewhere along the way I convinced myself it was okay to fudge. My excuse was that I do a lot of exercise. I exercise a lot because I work in a plant nursery fulltime and teach water aerobics and sub yoga part time.
But as they say, "you can't out exercise a bad diet." For me its all about monitoring snacking and portion control.
Now in this 5% challenge we have to track
E V E R Y T H I N G
if we want any points and I am a sucker for points, gold stars (must be some unresolved conflict from my school days lol).
So out comes the note pad and the food scale. sigh
As painful as this will be for me, it is exactly what I need.
