Watching on Weekends

I've noticed a pattern developing that I need to break.
All week I'm good--or reasonably so--about staying within my calorie limits and tracking my food so I'm reminded and mindful of my food choices. But.....on weekends not so much.
Last weekend we did our usual routine: meals out with friends and different schedules for meals. As a result, even though I was remembering what I should be doing, I ate more than I should and I didn't track my food choices. So, going into the first part of the week, when I weigh, I was adding weight instead of continuing to work at losing weight. I've most often managed to show a loss, but could I have lost more?
I don't want to be losing the same pounds over and over, so I'm going to need to up my watchfulness on weekends to avoid gaining back some weight only to have to work at losing it--again--each week.
In thinking about this, I've identified some ways to stay watchful but still have fun and meals with friends.
I'll see if this weekend I can do so.
