What's going on???????

So, this a.m., when I weighed, I was UP 2 pounds. What's with that????
I haven't eaten anything much different from before and I felt I was being more careful about portions and choices. I exercised 5x last week, 30 minutes a pop using interval program on the treadmill. I was expecting a lower number than last week.
I'm confused because I thought I was doing what needed to be done to continue to lose.
I'm disappointed that I'm not continuing to lose.
I'm frustrated because I'm not losing.
I know, I know, this is one week at one point and it is only 2 pounds. BUT, the scale is going up and I want it to go down. I thought all was in order to keep the scale going down, and then this happened.
I'm not depressed or despairing over this this, but I am concerned that I need to be more watchful in some other ways that I'm not paying attention to or watching.
I'll be o.k. about this, but I will continue to think about it.

    I know you have been exercising this past week so I'm sure you are discouraged but hang in there you have been doing a great job.

    I went through the same thing these past 3 weeks the scale kept going up and low and behold I got on it today and was down 3 lbs. from last week.

    Keep exercising and eating right and you'll get the results you want!

    I sure can relate as I have been there more times than I would like to admit. But don't give up. Could be water gain, could be that your about to have a good loss. If you have eaten healthy all week staying with a healthy calorie range and have exercise then the weight will come off. I would start by taking note of what your weight was last week (end of October) and not fret about the scale, recording your weight weekly though, but putting more focus on being down at the end of the month - sometimes we go up and down quite a bit during the month but end up with a loss at the end. So consider taking note of your starting weight for November and doing all you can to make sure you have a loss at the end of the month - what happens between then will happen - end result is if you have been faithful the weight will come off.

    Oh, I can totally relate. Been there so many times - thinking we've done everything just right, yet the scale doesn't move--or worse, goes up! All I can say is when this happens, just concentrate on the fact that regardless what the scale says, you've got to be getting healthier. Hang in there, and things will turn around. Never give up!

    This is one of those times when the scale is not your friend! You could have some water weight gain - some weeks you'll gain and then lose more the next week. Sometimes you hit a plateau and no matter what you do, you stay "stuck" at the same weight or even gain a couple of pounds. And, since muscle weighs more than fat, if you're building muscle and losing fat, you can look like you're weighing more. You might try a tape measure and see if you've lost inches.

    Don't let the scale freak you out. It is only an approximation of what's going on inside your body!!

    And be patient. You do what you need to do - eat a little less, move a little more - and the weight will come off eventually.
