Trying Really Hard

A year ago I noticed my weight going down without much effort on my part. I was pleased, and excited, and a bit delusional that it would last. I'm not sure exactly what I was doing, but one year later (and after gaining back 17 pounds over a very tough winter) I'm working my butt off and seeing no results...yet.

I have high hopes that with new found motivation (my engagement, and subsequent wedding date setting!) I will see the scale go down slowly over the next few months. I just have to keep working hard, and paying attention to what I put in my body!!

    LEHIA13 - I am slowly adding in strength training. I think the biggest issue in the non-movement on the scale (and the upward trend) is stress induced overeating! I'm trying to reduce my stress overall, and as of this week, am tracking every little thing that I eat!

    KALTSCHWAGER - Thank you!! I am a list maker and planner from way back, so this is the ultimate in fun for me :) We have the XBox 360, and I see there are a ton of free workouts on there until the first of the year, so I will definitely give some of those a try!

    Congratulations! Be diligent in tracking your food and try a new workout. Sometimes our bodies just need to be challenged in a new way. Have fun planning your wedding!

    I don't know if you lift weights, but that seems to help shed some weight off of me. How's you water intake been and any increased salt intake? There are so many reasons why there might not be any movement on the scale, but also remember that how have you been feeling? Do your clothes feel any loser? Can you deal with stress better? Always remember the little things to.

    emoticon Right now I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter how much I weigh, I am going to eat right and exercise anyway. Persistence not perfection.
