The Scale is a LIAR

Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Hey Sparkpeeps I know in this journey you've probably heard how the scale does not tell the whole story about weight loss. Well I'm here to say it not only does not tell the whole story but sometimes it could be a BIG FAT LIAR. In my last blog I stated how I had gained about 10 pounds and I wasn't happy about it at first not because I was uncomfortable with that weight nor did I think I looked bad at that weight but with the extra 10 pounds I'm considered overweight on the BMI chart. Well I eventually said screw the BMI chart and love the current weight I'm at. To further validate the current love of my current weight I found some old pictures to show how much the scale can lie.

The pics on the left I weight about 145lbs the pics on the right is my current weight of 155lbs.

So my advice for anyone on this journey is to take pics they help put things into prospective. When you are doing everything right and it seems that scale just will not budge or it even shows slight weight gain, pull out those pics and see the TRUTH!!!

Yep, the scale can be a big LIAR! You look great anyway and I can see your definition which is more desirable to me anyway! Are your clothes fitting better or loser? That's another good indicator as well! emoticon
