Instead of focusing on all my woes, I'm going to enjoy the blessing I have and God's gifts. So what if the water line broke in our building? We have plenty of bottled water to use for necessities. The pioneers didn't have piped in water.
So what if the A/C has been broken for over a month & they've had trouble finding a match/near match? Air Conditioners are a fairly recent discovery. What did we do in the past? Went for a ride with the windows down; for a picnic down by the river
; or just plain used a fan--the kind we moved back and forth by hand.
If you look hard enough, or use some ingenuity, there's a way around most things. We were given big brains for a reason.
Granted some illnesses are mighty hard to deal with, but most have ways to make you comfortable most of the time.
Take joy in the Lord, your spouse, your children and other family members. That's what this life is all about. We have to have the pain and suffering so we will appreciate the good times. "Opposition in all things." That's the way we are made.
We were meant to be busy and active:
"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it." -Plato

Sorry for your troubles! I hope you can find some fun activities to do this weekend! The library always has air conditioning and its free! I really have to search for the wonderful things in life too as I struggle with my health issues but I consider myself fortunate to have loving relatives, live in a beautiful city with plenty of festivals and activities to enjoy. I have never had A/C and never will, hate it makes me sick, so I can't relate, except perhaps I could never survive without my heating! Hope they can find a solution soon for you! Take care, Linda 2448 days ago
