Goals? Yup I've got 'em

So here's another round of BLC- now to set some goals up.

I don't do well with goals. I set up these extreme, detailed goals, which can be overwhelming.

I vow not to eat any junk food, not to binge, not to miss a workout in the next 12 weeks. Reality? It's a no go and I get bored.

So. Plan of action for this round? Stick to small attainable goals. Set them up weekly. Not so overwhelming and more do-able.

The big picture: Eat Paleo/Whole 30 based (with a sneak meal detour once a week). Exercise within my ability right now and start building up- Don't go all crazy! Baby steps.

    This makes a lot of sense to me. One of the things I like that both Azure and CAMO do (or at least Azure did back when I was still on it; not sure what they do now) is allow you to set up weekly goals focused on what your challenges are that week. Things are really changing for me right now--what I'm struggling with this week will probably be different from next week. So it allows me to say "okay, I need to focus on making healthy food choices this week while I'm eating out" if I know I'm going to be stuck eating out a lot, where as another week I can say "yeah, stress is a huge problem and I need to do something about that" and focus on stress reduction goals. It also helps me make goals that I know are reasonable, so I don't end up feeling like a failure because I didn't eat home cooked meals a week where I wasn't home all week.

    This sounds doable.

    I know what you mean about the setting of goals... Sometimes when I read what people have set for goals.. I am so overwhelmed by all the things they expect to change and all at once too... I do well if I can change one little thing at a time, well maybe two things if they are fairly simple and straight forward.
