Still working at it. I never know what to write that I don't sound like a broken record. I walk daily on the treadmill for 30 minutes with mileage between 1.25 & 1.31, depending on hip pain. I'm not quite ready to increase my time, although I'm hoping to within the next week or so. I've lost a couple more pounds. I'm a little over 26 lbs. removed.
Taking poochies for their new Christmas haircuts tomorrow, and visiting my sister for a couple hours while the dogs are at the groomer. She's on a diet too, although she doesn't have nearly as much weight to lose, but it won't be a challenge eating lunch over there. I'm taking my own yogurt, and she has turkey and light bread. Looking forward to it.
I love dieting this way. I can pretty much eat what I want, just count the calories. Don't get me wrong, I'm eating healthy. But I've been on diets where so much was denied that if I ate a piece of bread, or had skim milk, I was cheating. I bought a couple of the little peppermint patties and gave them to my husband. Told him if I wanted one I'd ask for one, but don't give me more than one, and not more than once a week LOL ... It feels good to treat myself every once in a while. I had one last night and woke up this morning to a nice 1 lb. loss. Not bad.
I think the key is being sensible, walking, and drinking plenty of water. At least that's the key for me.
Speaking of sensible, I think I need a new pair of sensible walking shoes. Mine are old and too floppy. My ankles ache when I'm on the treadmill.
