Still at it.

I haven't made a blog entry for a while. Christmas kinda slowed me down. But I'm still at it. I walked on the treadmill every day over the holidays, up until now! Except for Christmas day. I had planned to walk on Christmas day, but ran out of time since we were the host house and my son and his new girlfriend showed up over an hour early. I wasn't even showered and had to fly up the stairs to get ready real fast lol .... But other than that I have been doing my treading quite diligently!
My time has leveled out at 1.5 miles in 32 minutes. I want to improve on that but I don't think I'm quite ready to increase the speed. I know my limits. One thing that was holding me back was my sinuses. It made the walking miserable because my nose was stuffed up and as I was walking I would drain and cough. Soooooo ... enter breath right strips. I started wearing them to bed at night (poor hubby ... not sexy lol) ... because I was waking up all stuffy ... so now I just leave it on until I do my walking, then take it off when I shower. Such a difference! I can actually walk with my mouth closed!
I haven't been losing much very quickly but I have lost a total of 31 pounds since October 20th. I had wanted to lose 50 lbs. by the end of this month (was just a mini goal) but I am definitely not going to make it. If I buckle down I may get close to 40. I have been eating between 1100 and 1400 calories. I try to keep it around 1200 but sometimes just can't help going over. I get HUNGRY at night. I am having such a problem with that. Even if I just eat carrot sticks I am dismayed that I eat them too late. But I hate that hungry feeling while watching TV. It makes it hard to concentrate LOL ... So I get a few carrot sticks or eat a couple dry cheerios and share them with the girls (dogs). They absolutely LOVE cheerios. I really need to get past this though.
