Still truckin along - 6 weeks in!

I am 6 weeks into my new healthy lifestyle and I feel great! Down 15lbs and every single pound was earned with hard work exercising, making the right choices with food and eating healthy every day! Been cooking healthy meals every Sunday for the work week and eating a big salad most nights for dinner to get my veggies in. I forgot how eating real and healthy food can keep you so full and lose weight without being hungry.
I started looking back through my calorie tracking from my previous yo-yo weight loss efforts and realized that every time I have tried to lose weight in the past 5 years, I was starving myself basically. Eating 700 calories a day is not the way to lose weight! It's the way to lose muscle and completely mess up your metabolism, ruin your hair and skin and overall health. I can't believe that's what I thought I needed to do to lose weight. Yes, eating healthy and exercising takes longer to see the pounds come off compared to extreme limited calorie intake, juice cleanses, etc. but actual FAT is coming off, not just muscle and water weight. And I know that this time I can keep it going as a lifestyle and not quit.
I am starting to see changes, 15lbs down, and am so excited to see what things look like a few more months from now! Maybe I will be ready for online dating by then too :)
