Day 10 - A Healthier Me...
Wednesday, March 04, 2015
Yesterday was an early day for me. My baby girl woke me at 4 am for a feeding, which she usually sleeps later. But she's a baby and sometimes they just don't sleep as long. Anyway, since I was up early, I headed into work early and I'm glad I did. We had sleet and freezing rain move in during the afternoon and I was able to leave work early. Everyone was understandably moving slow and I was glad to get home before the roads were really packed with rush hour traffic. We got so much ice that our driveway and sidewalk looked like it was covered in snow but last night. I even when outside to check and it was all beads of ice, not snow. Thankfully it stopped overnight and roads were just wet and slushy in spots driving into work this morning. Tomorrow we're supposed to get anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of snow. Not that much to me growing up in the snow belt, but it's significant where I live now and is supposed to hit during the early morning hours. I see either a work-at-home day or at least not going in until later.
Busy evening last evening too. I got home and my husband was giving our boys a bath and folding laundry (yes, he's a great guy). I helped him finish up the laundry and the boys' bath. Then we bathed the baby. After that I got dinner started, fed our daughter, we all ate dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and spent time with our boys. The baby started getting fussy, so I walked around the house with her which always seems to calm her down. That was my free exercise last evening. I also spent about 10 minutes reading my Bible and helped my older son read his devotional for Sunday School. Kids went to bed and I was in bed right after them as I was exhausted. I vaguely remember how I was so busy before kids but for the life of me, I cannot think what kept me so busy. Phew!
