Focus On The Positives

This morning when I got on the scale I did not expect to see the results that I got. It wasn't what I wanted to see. But I made up my mind that I wasn't going to let the scale define all the hard work that I put into my workouts the past week. I decided to focus on the positives.

Every line on this calendar represents my consistency in working out. They are days that I poured my heart and soul into creating the new person that I know resides inside of me. I will not ignore what I put into my workouts the last couple of weeks. Every day I will pat myself on the back for pushing play and getting it done.

I will realize that there can be a number of factors why I didn't drop any weight. I will make a few changes in my food choices. I will look at this as a stepping stone to get me to where I want to go.

This past week has been a week of discoveries for me. It has been a week of letting go of all the negative things and people in my life. I have asked myself some tough questions. Some of the things that I've discovered hasn't been pleasant, but it's so necessary for me to be honest with myself so that I can move forward. I look at this as all positive.

I refuse to give up this time. I have the rest of my life to get it right. Though I've dealt with much stress the last few years even that is not going to be my excuse anymore to not love myself and take care of this body that God has given me. So, my reward this week is a emoticon and emoticon and thank you LORD for giving me a renewed confidence that I have lacked for so long. The only way to rise up from problems and adversities is to never give up. Don't sweat the small stuff. emoticon and emoticon and that's more than enough for me to emoticon

I look forward to next week and all the weeks following. I'm more than a conqueror through Him that loves me. Amen!

    The scale is the most frustrating instrument for us...i DID throw mine out the door once! If you're feeling lighter..stronger...clothes are looser...you're doing it!

    You've got the right attitude and keeping to it will get you where you want to be. While we all want to see the weight drop each time, I find that things like the fit of my clothes and the movement of my belt notches are even more reliable. Keep up the good work. Tracking your food is important, so be diligent about that as well. I have no doubt that the results you are looking for will be showing themselves very quickly.

    That's a fine attitude to have! The scale is only a tiny part in this 'body-renovating' process.
