Some Good Choices

It's been chaotic around here the last few days. We've got a birthday, surprise family visits, performances, intense deadlines, illness, other visitors, meals out...
I haven't eaten flawlessly. I haven't stuck to my plan perfectly. But I have made some good choices for myself, and they are worthy of celebration.
-I had a perfect eating day. Calories, carbs, protein, fat, and fibre, all in the zone.
-I exercised first thing in the morning. (Truth be told, I felt rather feeble. But I did it, and that's what counts)
-I ate half a chocolate bar when the PMS cravings drove me insane. That's right. Half. I could have had more. But I didn't.
-I went to bed on time. I didn't sleep much, but I went to bed.
-I got up on time. Even though I hadn't slept. (Yes, there's a theme here.)
-I drank enough water EVERY day.
-I didn't drink cola. Not even when I got a headache, and wanted it like CRAZY.
I sincerely believe that attitude is everything. And I'm never going to get where I want to go if I only see failure. It's important to celebrate success, even if it's small success. And I made some very good choices in the midst of some challenging circumstances, so I'm going to just go ahead and toot my own horn.
Today's choices may not mean much. But they're going to add up. You just watch and see.
