Hello to all my SparkFriends. I am still on my journey 4Life. Being it's 4Life it has lots of changes going on. I am still learning a lot about weight lifting and what works and does not works for me mentally and physically. My body is changing in ways that have surprised me.

I am also experiencing a bump in the road. emoticon In the last few weeks, I have started to experience something labeled as exertion headaches. They only come on when I lift at my heaviest. emoticon The headaches have caused a spike in my blood pressure. Doctor put me back on blood pressure medication for the next 90 days. I also have an up coming CT Scan of the brain in June. Why so for off??? Just my personal choice. In the mean time I have to lift wise and listen to my body. Dr didn't band me from lifting just told me to use my own discretion. Those of you who already know me....know I STILL REFUSE TO BE DEFEATED, but I will be WISE. Being I want to LIFT4LIFE, I know I will have to use wisdom. Planning to start my next 90 Days of Body Beast Round 3.

Is Lifting my #1.....by all means NO....it's #3. My Lord #1 and my FAMILY #2. My Lord makes ALL things possible for me to do. My family makes doing what I do worth the hard work.

You all know the love I have for my bodyguards. emoticon

And this is my survival crew.

I hope all of you are continuing to make health a life style change. See you again soon. emoticon

    I agree with SMILES post
My DH and I have gone to Chiropractors off and on for years.
He has a sciatic issue and even when its not acting up for the last 2 years he has had pain.
Long story short I knew he was in need of getting back to being adjusted.
we are going to Maximized Living Chiropractic. In ONE adjustment the PAIN he was dealing with is gone. He had another adjustment 3 days later.
I know with our age and arthritis building up things happen. But................I also agree that if we keep what we have healthy and adjusted we will be so much better off. A Dr. can do adjustments they are a general Dr. with the D.O. after their title
    like Dr. R.Carpenter DO
they don't treat the whole spine they treat the ONE area at the time, that is causing a problem.
    Insurance of course covers it.
Insurance also normally covers Chiroprator and with decompression in the Spine they usually cover I think up to 10 adjustments. I think its called Subluxation?
Anyway you must have had a Slip in your lifting and because you have thrown in Out of adjustment you need to get it adjusted back.
Dr.s will put you on all sorts of medications for the pain/headaches, BUT, that is not what your body needs. You need to let the blood flow correctly in your nervous system and I am sure its still inflamed from being thrown off.
If you use a Chiropractor along with a physician, you are doing all you can to keep your Spine healthy.

Wow, you look so strong and amazing! Way to go!

As you well know, for life means just that--and that means being flexible when you have to be. Flexible isn't the same thing as giving up; it means adjusting so that you *can* keep this up for life.

I take a rest week every 5th week.
On that 5th week, I visit my Chiropractor.
    She keeps me 'in line'.
I have scoliosis and if I don't consistently stretch, do yoga, and 'get adjusted'...I'm a mess - can barely move from the pain which radiates.
I have been able to avoid it by taking my REST WEEKS.

Hope you are able to find what works for you!!!

Aren't muscles AWESOME? YES THEY ARE....
    God definitely blesses our efforts.

Well definitely listen to your body especially if it leaves you not feeling well. I know it will work out for the good of them who love The Lord..... Getting, being & living health are wonderful tools but there are also limits. We can go beyond those from time to time just so we know we can. Be well & enjoy being ...

    God bless,

This is a awesome blog! That's right only by Our Lord alone do we keep going. Only Jesus Christ himself, can get us through our trials & tribulations. If we believe on him, he will deliver us out of evil! I need to get off my soapbox. You have a awesome family! Keep up the good work! My Son brought me down and caused me to gain 11 lbs. and now I've lost 3 of those 11 lbs. I've lowered my calories and started exercising more again. Life is good for me! I hope You & You're family have a blessed weekend! lyl! (lyl means love you linda)
