Catching up

Sunday, February 07, 2016

Haven't been here in quite sometime. Kind of fell off the radar I'd guess you'd say though I often refer to my story here as a great part of my journey. For the last 14 plus months I was working hard to build a business as a Beachbody Coach and while I love the heck out of their product I'm just not good at building relationships and getting people to buy stuff. I quit! I'll still use my programs and their Shakeology but no more sales. This girl is focusing on her and her dream of opening a bakery. It has been a dream for far too long and I'm done hemming and hawing over it.

I'm still on the road with DH in the truck 24-7. I've seen 45 of the 48 continental states which is awesome. I've learned about putting chains on tires to cross mountain passes out west; climbed up into the trailer to help place load locks to help keep it all in place and more. We cook in the truck, well actually I cook in the truck.

Eggs, bacon and potatoes for breakfast; coffee; oatmeal
pita's or fajitas for lunch - making up the meat in advance in the crockpot
Red beans n rice; grilled steak or brats or burgers; fried chicken; chicken n dumplings, etc.

Plus I'm crocheting a lot and started to take orders for folks to make them things for their family n friends. Mostly hats and baby afghans. Working out in the truck is a little tricky but I get it done.

Life is good. I miss having a home but we will again in time. The kids are good. DD has a new boyfriend and is going to be taking classes for American Sign Language; plus looking for a new job and working to help get more therapists involved in the deaf community and LGBT. DS is working a new job and about to move into his own place. The girlfriend in Canada did not work out but he's bouncing back. DH, my mom, his folks, my niece, sister and other kids plus grandkids re all doing well.

I'll be back later with more stuff.

I'm with you on the sales thing. I couldn't sell a blanket to an Eskimo. Haha! Good luck.
