Green Smoothie with a Spicy Kick

Don't laugh.... Ok, you can laugh. First, I made my first green smoothie EVER. I do make a berry smoothie with kale but that's a purple, fruity drink and the kale is as green as I have gotten. For today's truly green smoothie I used spinach, cucumber, pear, and lemon juice. Skipped the celery which I HATE and added cayenne pepper to make it interesting to my super tasting tongue. It wasn't bad this way. Next time I would like to try limes, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! Second, I had to look-up if fiber would be counted. I used to juice in the mid 90's, where all the pulp was extracted. But I only used to juice fruits and carrots, no other veggies. I learned that blending it vs juicing does count differently. Glad I blended to get the added benefits. If you're like me, hate the taste of many veggies but love spicy foods, try a splash or two or more of ground cayenne pepper for that fun kick in an otherwise tart green drink! Let me know if you try it or have experimented with other ingredients to spice it up!
