Day #237 of my adventures in Spark Land

Day #237 here in Spark Villa

I am on an adventure right now to learn about self care. #16 of a pin entitled 50 ways to practice self care from pinterst says write down 10 things I feel grateful for:

emoticon my son is coming home today for the weekend. 1st time since Labor Day.
emoticon I have a clean home. I grew up with hoarders as parent's. My challenge to declutter my home in a year is very important to me. I feel so wonderful in a clutter free environment.
emoticon I am no longer living in an abusive environment.
emoticon Freedoms to choose. I was control for years. To be able to have freedoms and chooses are overwhelming. I am so grateful for them.
emoticon Food. Many people go without.
emoticon The ability to exercise. Many can not.
emoticon low income housing. Without it, I would not have a place to stay
emoticon Electricity. A person does not realize how much we use it until it is out. 5 years ago a major storm came by and gave our county a make over. My parent's had no electric for 8 days. No generator either. It make me so thankful for electric.
emoticon for the change of season's. Life would be pretty dull if we had one season all year

I am also grateful for my 3 challenges.
emoticon My declutter my home in a year challenge that I signed upon pinterest and get emails daily telling my my mission for the day: Today's mission is: Decluttering stairs and under stair case. I personally do not have stairs but I will be finishing cleaning for my son's arrival.
emoticon I am on day #26 of Jessica's Smith's 28 day Fall back into Fitness challenge. I will be doing her 35-minutes straight up strengthen training.
emoticon Home.Work.Play challenge is learning to be stress less. I am learning thanks to Spark People how to cope with stress-thanks Spark friends!

Another adventure I am on is learning that I don't have to do it all. To prioritize what matters most. (pin entitled A Therapist Prescription for Better Metal Health). I am learned my son and I are my priority over anyone or anything. I use to put everyone else's needs and wants before my son's and my needs. Not anymore! I am just starting to learn to stop spreading myself thin and start taking care of me.

I am grateful there are 76 days until my son's winter break. On the flip side, I am no where near ready for Christmas. I am working on enjoying the many adventure life brings me daily. I am focus on enjoying Autumn. I was planning on making caramel apples today but could not find the caramel wraps. Maybe they don't even make them anymore.
