Day #242 here is spark villa!
I am so excited you joined me on this wonderful adventure I am. Yesterday I shared with you some things Audre Lorde said. She reinforced to me that self care is not self indulgence but rather it is an act of survival. I learned it also involves drinking water, personal hygiene, exercise, rest, reward, and re-energizing. Re-energizing myself is the one thing I do not do which I need to start doing.
Today I want to share self care tip from blog.blessingmanifesting.com. Have at least one special space or sanctuary you can retreat to when you feel stressed or anxious. Whether it's a lavender scented bedroom, book filled study, hot bath or shower, or spirit filled alter/prayer meditation space.
I will have to work on that tip.
Before I started this adventure I was going through 2 pins:
*30 things to start doing for yourself. I was on #19 start helping those around you. To be honest I do that and neglect myself so I need to do less helping and more self care!
*50 ways to practice self care. #21 have an intense workout session. I want to go back over the 28 day fall back into fitness challenge and see if pinterest has some of the work outs so I can do them again from pinterest. I am planning on starting to do that today.
My adventures have not stopped at self care. I am on 2 challenges that are helping with self care.
*Declutter my house in a year I found on pinterest. Today's mission is: Declutter table linens, napkins, place mats-done
*Food Fit-I am going to learn about measuring portions. That will be interesting
There are 71 more days left until son's winter break. Monday I grabbed the wrong McCormick spaghetti mix. I grabbed the Italian Mushroom instead of extra thick. Guess what? I tried something new again. Next time I want to try spaghetti squash instead of noodles. My Fall fun today is fall candles. I forgot to get one but I did put out my fall soap-county apple I love the smell of apples!.
