I had a two pound loss at TOPS last night. I am so, so proud of myself. I had a good, not perfect, week. While I am light years ahead of where I was last year at this time, in dealing with the temptations of baking, I'm still struggling somewhat. I have used three of my "candy cash" from TOPS on baked goods. This is far better than spending all of the them in the first weekend, as I did last December and the December before.
Last night was one of our "Let's get moving" meetings. Our leader showed us some standing ab exercises that are in our duotang of exercises she so thoughtfully put together for us a few months ago. I've been working on upping my daily squats, am still doing the 30 day challenge, but am going to look for my hand held weights and start adding these exercises in on a regular basis. I definitely want to add more body weight exercises to show a more toned physique next summer!
I'm feeling very motivated this time, I have already met my December goals for myself - as long as I can hold here or weigh less at the end of the month. I know there's a few days in the future that will hold an indulgence or two. But if they are only 2 days, I should be OK.
I'm still walking daily at work. Instead of rain, we have been experiencing snow and now freezing temperatures. In a coastal environment this equates to brutal cold, and we are not used to it at all. So, I'm still walking. Carefully, and in heavy snow boots. The office I work in is in an old modular building so the snow boots stay on all day. When I take a bathroom break, and do one of my squat reps, I'm doing it in snow boots. All in all, I think I'm burning more calories this way. So that's a funny.
