BLC Mission Slim-possible Day 1

Challenge Day 1 is going great! Part of our challenge is to up our game in fitness in the way of logging mileage and then also in minutes of strength training. Well I don't do strength training really. I'm hoping I've turned a new leaf and committed to doing 15 minutes of strength training at least 3 times a week, in addition to my regular cardio (dancing). This afternoon, even though it is so hot in this house right now, I turned on my Xbox Kinect and played the Your Shape game. I did a 16 minute Tai Chi class and it was ridiculously difficult for a body this size. But I did it! By 6 minutes I was looking at the timer and wondering how I couldn't even be done half yet. But I did it! I finished it. I was sweating like a hog in the sun after but I am so pleased with myself. I also did 20 minutes of Cardio Kickboxing just because the Xbox was already on anyways so why not?
I had a delicious spinach salad for brunch today. I'm drinking water at every opportunity. I am going to take my metformin tonight. I'm still trying to get past the first few days. I will take it for 2 days then stop for 2 because of the sick it causes me. I have to do it though. I followed my diet an exercise to a T in May and gained 2 pounds (and I'm up in all my inches as well). PCOS is so frustrating.
I won't dwell on that right now. I'm excited to be on this challenge and I feel so motivated. I'm going to dance for 40 minutes tonight and I am hoping I feel good tomorrow so I can wake up and start with Tai Chi again.
Yay Day 1 Success! I have to add that I hope everyone on my team had an equally great day and that you're feeling as motivated as I am in this moment. Let's use it to propel us forward!
