Tis the Season....

Tuesday, November 21, 2017

Well, with the arrival of the American Thanksgiving, tis the season. So much around in food temptations. So many things to attend, visits to make. So many things to take care of.
It becomes a season of stress. That is not what this season should be.
This year I want to feel what this season is really intended to be. emoticon

Great reminder! Instead of focusing on food, I want to focus on being thankful for the good health I have (I am healthy in lots of ways) and the better health I want to achieve in this season. Thanks!!

For me it is a simple time, as only a few friends, and one invite for dinner. Christmas is even less hectic but I chose long ago to keep things simple. Sometimes I turn down the invite to a crowded church friend's dinner, as it goes on for hours, and I have to get a ride home from the lovely little country home. They are elderly and someday this tradition will be gone though. So maybe I should take my introverted self to the dinners and rest when time marches on, and old friends are no more.

Yes with all the holiday advertising for Christmas it becomes a headache when we still don't celebrate Thanksgiving yet until Thursday. You are so right about people getting stressed during this time of the year, Have a lovely Thanksgiving.
