So it's been a super stressful weekend. My grandpa fell and broke his hip so he's in the hospital now and has to have surgery. We spent all day yesterday in the emergency room. But Fritzy and I were able to go shopping at least and get some healthy groceries and I was able to get some hydrogen peroxide and bandaids for my injured toe and some other things that we needed and Fritzy bought some toys with his allowance money and while we were grocery shopping I found something really cool that I'd never found before: they're called Nourish Bowls, they're 220 calories per bowl, you warm them up, they come in lots of flavours, I got the Southwest Chipotle, it has Cauliflower, Kale, Kohlrabi, Sweet Potatoes, Black Bean with Chipotle Corn Salsa and Shredded Cheddar Cheese. They look really good. 6g fat, 34 g carbs, 9g fiber, 11g protein and 680 mg sodium. I thought it was a pretty good grocery find.
So all the stress has me super bloated. We also did have McDonald's cheeseburgers and fries yesterday, so all the salt and grease didn't help. I also think I have put on some muscle because I have been working out so hard lately. But I'm going to give the scale a few days and see where it levels out to. Yesterday was such a hard day, sitting in the emergency room all day and then people kept yelling at me all day, and my injured toe was hurting really bad by the end of the day I could barely walk. So I ended up smoking 3 cigarettes yesterday. I am just going to begin again with quitting smoking right away and not buy any cigarettes or smoke any more and forget about the 3 I smoked yesterday.
Exercise is going really well, though. Today is a rest day but Fritzy and I have been getting in a ton of exercise and of course I've been getting in all kinds of extra exercise by having to help my grandpa walk after he fell and broke his hip. My aunt and I had to basically carry him one on each side of him and he is a big heavy guy!! So that was a lot of exercise, too. If I weigh more this week it is definitely because I have more muscle. I have eaten without tracking my calories this week but I haven't been eating out of control or anything. I eat healthy and I eat a lot of protein and fiber. Today my biceps are pretty sore and my legs are pretty sore from exercise, my core isn't too sore, but I'm definitely glad for a rest day, I just feel pretty exhausted. On my Fitbit this week I clocked in as "Lightly active" instead of "Sedentary" and that takes a lot of effort!! I know it doesn't sound like much, but for me it is.
Eating is going pretty well. I've had some splurges this week, I had some red velvet Oreo cookies on Friday and I had McDonald's yesterday, but I feel like weekends are supposed to be for splurges. I also bought a lot of really healthy food at the grocery store yesterday and Fritzy and I made healthy chocolate chip muffins this weekend with Splenda and whole wheat flour and applesauce. They turned out really super good.
