So this is my new activity goal list. I am trying to focus more on achieving fitness goals than on dieting. I'm trying to do 3 strength workouts a week, 2 cardio workouts, one core workout, and then ten minutes of yoga a day and walk 12 miles a week. Now that my ankle is starting to heal up, it should be easier to accomplish this even when my internet won't load videos as I can start trying out some easy standing workouts now. Nothing like jump rope or cardio kickboxing but lower impact stuff like yoga and maybe try out a short walking video. But I can slowly start to transition out of my chair now and back onto my feet. I'm getting flexible/mobile enough that I think I can do regular workouts even though I haven't lost that much weight yet. But I'm going slow and steady and not rushing anything because it's not a race.
I've been super bloated for the past couple of days. I think it's stress bloat, so I've been trying to make sure I get in my meditation and read the dhamma more often. Fritzy and I also ate pretty terribly over the weekend. I think we were eating like every half hour but I was in a lot of pain from my broken toe and we had also worked out really hard this weekend and we were sore from working out which always makes you need more food to recuperate. My biceps are STILL sore from the arm workout we did on Friday night and then I did an arm and shoulder workout this morning that totally exhausted my muscles even though I was using 5 lb weights! Hoping to get stronger from this and hoping the soreness goes away quick. I'm going to do chair yoga tomorrow to recuperate and then a core workout the next day and then some cardio and then on Friday get back on the horse and do another arm workout! On Friday I'm going to buy my ab roller, too.
My grandpa had his hip surgery and is doing good. I don't know when he'll be coming home but things look positive on that front. My sister says he seems coherent and of sound mind, so all good things there.
I stopped smoking right away after I had those 3 cigarettes on Saturday and have been right back to where I was before with my goals. Still no soda either. Still working on drinking more water.
Not sure how my weight is going to pan out this week. I think I'm going to have a gain just because I've been so bloated all week, but some of these pounds may be water that my body is storing so it can build fuel for my muscles since I've been working out so much. If that's the case then I'm still burning fat and the scale will reflect my hard work eventually, I just have to be patient. I have a feeling that may be the case because my muscles are super sore from working out so hard so they are probably adjusting to this increased activity load. If I do see a gain this week, I'm not going to worry about it.
