I started this process for health reasons--and those are the same reasons that I am sticking with it. I have arthritis and want to be able to 1) keep moving, and 2) put of knee and/or hip replacements for as long as possible. I have had cancer and need to do whatever I can to make sure I don't get it again. I have high cholesterol and high blood pressure, and I want to do whatever I can to prevent a stroke or heart attack. I was diagnosed with diiabetes and hope to keep it under control with diet alone. There's too much at stake for me to throw in the towel, so I will just keep pushing.
What I'm doing right:
- 8 glasses of water/day
- cutting back on red meat and making at least one vegetarian dinner each week
- eating more fruits and veggies
- trying to get 7-8 hours sleep/night
- strength training, especially CORE
- cutting out alcohol
I need to step up my exercise, especially cardio.
