WOW ! I can't believe it has been a year already since I started Spark People. I could not have done it without the support of my many friends that I have met on here. Everyone keeps me going and trying hard to keep at it. Thank you my friends.
My heaviest weight was 376.7. I lost a bit before I joined Spark People but it was up and down most of the time. On February 19, 2018 I weighed myself at 354 pounds. I finally made it down a little lower than 300.
From my starting point until now, my joints have stopped hurting all the time, I can move better, not be out of breath, be able to do fun activities with my man and fit into chairs. I have had to get rid of some of my larger clothes and buy new ones to fit my newer body. I feel better about myself which has helped with my self esteem. I am not as depressed, tired and lazy as I was before.
I am pre-diabetic and on diabetic and high blood pressure medicines. With the weight loss that I have had so far, my last doctor visit was great. She told me that when I get my blood work done next time, I may be able to take a lower dosage of my diabetic pill. She also told me that my blood pressure was great. This made me very happy.
I have learned to just keep going even if I have had a bad day or a week. I found that my momentum is great most of the time and that if I keep my mind thinking that I can do this and I will do this, the weight will come off. People have noticed that I have lost weight. They are very proud of me.
I also have learned that I seem to have a problem when it comes to holidays. When they come up, I seem to celebrate them with homemade sweets and dining out and it gets me started down a bad path of eating way too much for about a week straight. I will have to learn to control myself better. If you have this problem, what do you do to help with this?
I just wanted to comorate my one year anniversary so when I have my second anniversary with Spark People, I can look back and see what changes and accomplishments I have done again in a year.
I wish you all the best my friends. Here is to another great year of Spark People and the losing of more weight and collection of new friends.
