NSVs for the week

Tonight ends Week 1 of the 5% Fall Challenge.

I feel really great about how the week went, but I know that if the scale doesn't show any progress tomorrow I will tend to forget all that I've accomplished, so I want to write it down before I weigh in so that I can look back if I need to.

My NSVs for the week:

emoticon Kept a positive attitude - no "poor me, I'm on a diet" or "no, I can't have that"
emoticon Met my team commitment to exercise at least 30 min/day
emoticon Posted my fitness minutes and LTGL to the team daily
emoticon Used Runkeeper on my daily walks to track time, distance, and route, to provide incentive for walking longer/faster in the future
emoticon Exceeded my fitness minutes goal – goal was 210 min/week, actual was about 270, so I walked an extra hour
emoticon Walked a total of 12 miles over the course of the week
emoticon Used my food journal to record every bite for 7 days
emoticon Stayed within my SP calorie range all 7 days
emoticon Made generally healthy food choices, so that the calories weren’t empty ones
emoticon Made a conscious effort to eat more fruits and veggies
emoticon Recorded my water intake 6 out of 7 days, and drank all 8 glasses 5 of those days (and water is a huge challenge for me)
emoticon Tried to be an active participant on the team message board to stay engaged in the challenge and encourage others

I will be delighted if the scale shows a loss tomorrow, but I know that I can do everything right and still not see the results I want. The weight comes off more slowly with every passing year! I'm resolving right now to be happy with what I've achieved this week, and to continue building on my success. It will pay off eventually!
