Long day!

I had two memorial services to go to (both with food after) and a lot of old friends to see, and it was a long and stressful day overall.

Successes are that I avoided the luncheon after the first service and the goodies after the second service, and made myself a healthy lunch at home. I also took a nice, long, relaxing walk mid-afternoon, then settled in on the couch with a blanket and my favorite podcast.

This evening, I did go out to dinner and I suspect that I may have gone outside my calorie range, but it was by choice, and I didn't eat everything on my plate, only what I wanted.

This is NOT my usual response to stress (usually I just eat and keep eating) so I count this as a win!

    You stayed in the driver's seat, in control, and made conscious decisions ...

    I am so proud of you !! Keep up the good work..

    because it is hard not to just go on "Auto Pilot" and discover at some point in time in the future that you consumed everything within reach, even if you had to move closer to reach it.
