I had two memorial services to go to (both with food after) and a lot of old friends to see, and it was a long and stressful day overall.
Successes are that I avoided the luncheon after the first service and the goodies after the second service, and made myself a healthy lunch at home. I also took a nice, long, relaxing walk mid-afternoon, then settled in on the couch with a blanket and my favorite podcast.
This evening, I did go out to dinner and I suspect that I may have gone outside my calorie range, but it was by choice, and I didn't eat everything on my plate, only what I wanted.
This is NOT my usual response to stress (usually I just eat and keep eating) so I count this as a win!
