1/12/2020 SMART Goals & Nutrition Goals

Specific – Get my A1C under 7.0 so that I can avoid getting put on another medication.
Measurable – Using blood sugar meter regularly and, in June, getting lab tests.
Attainable – Track daily; keep calories, carbs and fat at or below recommendations; walk or ST every day; get at least 7 hours sleep/night.
Realistic – My A1C went from 7.5 to 7.0 in the last round, but I would like to see it go down to at least 6.5. Since I got it down by .5 last time, this should be doable.
Time – I will reach this goal by the end of the challenge.
3 NUTRITION GOALS
1. Protein for breakfast every day
2. At least one fruit/day (I’m not a big fruit fan)
3. Make at least one high-fiber meatless dinner each week.
4. Cut back on sodium.
5. Track every day
