Day 40: In A Lot of Pain

I've been in a lot of pain lately in my ribs and back. Yesterday I used the foam roller and had Fritzy give me a massage and that helped some and I'm making some ice right now so I can take an ice bath and hopefully that helps a bit. My right knee is also bothering me a lot because I fell down in the snow on Saturday. I have been doing well with things otherwise, though, and making some pretty good progress in most areas.

I did an easy chair workout this morning but that was all I did just to take it easy on my ribs/back but exercise is still going well. It was a good workout and I feel pretty good afterwards. I've been staying consistent with exercise and looking forward to seeing some differences as time goes by.

Still struggling to stay within my calorie range. Most of my eating is pretty good, but I need to cut back some on my intake. My macros are a little bit improved. My protein is good but my carbs and fat are too high. My sodium and sugars are a little bit better but still too high as well. Still working on making improvements.

Been doing well with meditation. Did a chakra relaxation meditation, a lovingkindness meditation, and a "Mindfulness of Emotions" meditation yesterday. My focus is pretty good right now and I'm developing more insight.

Finished reading Being of Power, read Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, read a chapter of Bret Easton Ellis's White and a few chapters of The World of Tibetan Buddhism yesterday so yesterday was kind of a reading day. My reading comprehension is improving so making some strides there.

Listened to a few podcasts yesterday but nothing really stood out.

Failed at my nonsmoking day yesterday.

Got in about 4 cups of water yesterday so I met my goal but nothing beyond that.
