Weigh-In #67

I'm beginning to get a little more confident that the weight gain was inflammation in my muscles. My weight is slowly coming down and I'm holding onto most of the muscle that I gained while my weight goes down. My other stats are also continuing to improve. I'm exercising a little less right now because of the pain I've been experiencing in my ribs and back so I've been eating a little less but this all evens itself out because of course I'm exercising less. I've been getting a lot of steps lately, though, hitting my step goal every day this week. So here are my stats.

Starting Weight: 296.6
Last Weigh In: 276
Current Weight: 275.8
Weight Lost This Week: -0.2 lbs
Total Weight Lost: -21 lbs
I'm not really focusing on the number of pounds lost right now. I was really focused on trying to get to 30 pounds lost for a while and I think that was a mistake. It's not about a magic number and it's not about how many pounds you lose. It's about being as fit as possible and about performing healthy habits and about doing what you are passionate about doing in life. No number of pounds lost or number on the scale is going to make you happy in life or solve your problems. The only way you are going to be happy in life is if you create a good present. That is how you create a good future. And that's what I'm focusing on now.

I started taking my water pills again and drinking a bit of water so I'm seeing a rise in body water again.

body fat is down a bit. I've been eating according to my hunger signals and paying more attention to my macros lately, eating what I enjoy eating but also eating with thought to gentle nutrition so this has been helping me to bring down body fat.

Starting Muscle Mass: 144.6lb
Last Muscle Mass: 131.6 lbs
Current Muscle Mass: 131.6 lbs
Muscle Mass Gained: +/-0 lbs
Total Muscle Mass Gained: -13 lbs
didn't lose or gain any muscle. doing a good job of maintaining muscle mass with the slow loss of weight that I'm having right now so exercise is definitely making a difference. I know ultimately I'm going to have to lose some muscle mass because as I get leaner I assume I will get under 200 pounds. I can't say for sure but there's a good chance. In that case I won't be able to have 131 odd pounds of muscle. So depending on what I end up ultimately weighing in the end will depend on how much muscle I lose, how much muscle I maintain, how much muscle I gain.

Last Bone Mass:7.8 lb
Current Bone Mass 7.8 lb
Bone Mass Gained +/- 0 lb
Total Bone Mass Gained -0.8 lb
bone mass doesn't usually change significantly but over time it can shift for good or ill. Right now I'm maintaining my bone mass and this is a positive thing.

Visceral Fat

visceral fat is the same. visceral fat is another thing that is hard to change and takes a lot of work to lower. Right now I'm maintaing 14 points and I'm grateful for that. I'm working to lower VF and over time I'm hoping to see it back in a healthy range.

Things are looking good right now. I'd like to be exercising more, so that's something I'm going to work towards. But things are going in a positive direction and as I wrap up January I am happy with how this month turned out.
